What these terms cover
These terms apply to the informational website at ravenshollowhouse.com, kept by the Ravens Hollow Trust. They do not govern the booking or stay terms of Ravens Hollow House Hotel and Casino Resort, which are issued in writing at the time of reservation by the duty manager. Booking terms are sent on confirmation of a stay; if you have not received them and would like a copy, please write to house@ravenshollowhouse.com.
Purpose of the site
This site exists to describe a building. It does not host wagers, hold player accounts, or operate as a gambling platform. The casino resort floor of the hotel is presented as a feature of the property — a restored slate-setting workshop — and is not held out as a gambling venue. References to a casino resort describe the room as it stands, in the words of those who keep it.
Who the site is for
The site is intended for adult readers, aged eighteen and over. Persons under eighteen are asked not to use the pages without the company of an adult. The Trust is not a treatment, advisory, or counselling service; nothing on these pages should be relied on as such.
Accuracy and amendment
The pages are kept by the duty manager and reviewed by a trustee in October each year. Errors raised by readers are corrected within the same week, where they are factual. Where a fact has lapsed, the page is taken down rather than left to mislead. We do not warrant that the pages will be up to the minute — the hotel keeps the pace of a country log, and so do these notes.
Third-party references
The site does not link to gambling operators or to advertising of any sort. Where a third-party site is referenced — for example the National Gambling Helpline, GamCare, or the Information Commissioner’s Office — the link is provided as a courtesy, and the Trust is not responsible for the contents of those pages.
The text and the drawings
The text of these pages, the photographs of the house, and the line drawings of the casino resort floor are kept by the Ravens Hollow Trust. They may be quoted in short for review or reference; they may not be copied wholesale, sold, or used to promote a gambling product. Requests to reproduce should be addressed to the duty manager, who will ordinarily grant a courteous request from a working journalist or an academic.
Limits of liability
The Trust does not warrant that the site will be free of interruption or error. The Trust is not liable for losses arising from reliance on the pages beyond their plain reading as the description of a building. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under the law of England and Wales — in particular, liability for fraud, for personal injury caused by negligence, or for any other matter that may not be excluded under that law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Disputes will be heard in the courts of England and Wales. The Trust is registered at Companies House and the Charity Commission in England.
Changes to these terms
These terms are reviewed in October each year. Any change is dated at the foot of this page, and the previous text is retained in the Trust papers for two years.
