A Coastal Hotel and Casino Resort
Privacy practices for the Coastal Hotel and Casino Resort pages — what we record, what we do not, and where to write.
What this notice covers
This privacy notice covers the informational website at ravenshollowhouse.com, kept by the Ravens Hollow Trust. It does not cover the booking and stay records of Ravens Hollow House Hotel and Casino Resort, which are governed by a separate notice issued at the time of reservation. The booking notice is sent in writing on confirmation of a stay; if you would like a copy without booking, please write to the duty manager.
What is kept, and for how long
- Visit counts
- Pages requested, day, country of request, and a broad device class. Held in aggregate; held for thirteen months.
- Server logs
- IP addresses recorded by the host for security and abuse-prevention. Held for fourteen days, then discarded.
- Correspondence
- Emails and letters to the duty manager, kept in the Trust papers for two years, then destroyed unless part of a continuing matter.
- Names
- We do not record reader names. We do not place advertising or marketing pixels. We do not pass visitor information to a third party for any purpose other than running the site.
The single cookie
The site uses one strictly necessary cookie to remember whether a visitor has dismissed the notice bar at the top of each page. There are no advertising cookies, no marketing cookies, and no cross-site trackers. The cookie expires after thirty days. If you clear it, the notice will be shown again on your next visit.
Letters to the duty manager
If you write to the duty manager — by email or by post — your letter is kept in the Trust papers for two years and then destroyed, unless it forms part of a continuing matter. Letters are read by the duty manager and, where a Trust reply is needed, by one trustee. They are not shared more widely than this. If a letter raises a question of conduct on the casino resort floor, it may be held longer at the request of the chair, who will note the reason in the day book.
What you may ask
You have the right to ask what the Trust holds about you, to ask for an inaccurate record to be corrected, and to ask for it to be deleted, subject to legal duties on the Trust to keep certain records. To exercise any of these rights, write to the duty manager at house@ravenshollowhouse.com; the Trust will reply within thirty days. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Readers under eighteen
The site is intended for adult readers. We do not knowingly hold any record of a reader under eighteen. If you believe a record of a child has been kept in error, please write to the duty manager and the record will be deleted on receipt.
